Overview
The Great Emperor of the North Star of Purple Tenuity is one of the Four Sovereigns. Symbolically centred on the north celestial pole and the Purple Tenuity Enclosure, he is called sovereign of the myriad stars. His functions concern the celestial and terrestrial order, the sun, moon and stars, and the seasons. Northern Dipper, natal-star and stellar rites are related to his sphere, but the Seven Lords of the Northern Dipper form a distinct subordinate system and should not be merged with him.
