Overview
The thirty-fifth of the Thirty-six Lesser Grotto-Heavens, titled the “Heaven of the White Horse's Mysterious Light,” governed by the Immortal Perfected Xie. Identified with present-day Taohuayuan (Peach Blossom Spring) in Taoyuan, Hunan, named for Tao Yuanming's “Record of the Peach Blossom Spring”; the Taoyuan Temple was built in the Tang, and further temples were repeatedly built from the Song onward, with the Taochuan Palace among those surviving today.
