Overview
The thirty-first of the Thirty-six Lesser Grotto-Heavens, titled the “Heaven of the Vermilion Sun's Great Growth,” governed by the Immortal Perfected Gong. Identified with present-day Mount Zhong (Purple-Gold Mountain) in Nanjing; Daoist temples proliferated here from the Six Dynasties onward, and Tao Hongjing of the Liang once built a hermitage here, the Zhuyang Lodge; very few Daoist remains survive today.
