Overview
The twenty-ninth of the Thirty-six Lesser Grotto-Heavens, titled the “Heaven of the Immortal Capital's Quest for Transcendence,” governed by the Immortal Perfected Zhao. Identified with present-day Xiandu in Jinyun, Zhejiang; Dinghu Peak (Cauldron Lake Peak) is traditionally where the Yellow Emperor cast a cauldron and ascended to heaven, and the site was granted the name Xiandu by imperial decree during the Tianbao era of the Tang; the mountain has a Shrine to the Yellow Emperor (now rebuilt) and cliffside inscriptions at Niweng Cave.
