Overview

The twenty-fifth of the Thirty-six Lesser Grotto-Heavens, titled the “Heaven of the Mysterious and True Great Origin,” governed by the Immortal Perfected Chen. Identified with present-day Mount Mufu, on the border of Hunan, Hubei, and Jiangxi; tradition holds that Ge Hong and Wu Meng practiced alchemy here, and the mountain preserves such relics as the Ge Xian Shrine and an Elixir Pool.
