Overview
The Templo de la Pureza y el Silencio (Qingjing Gong) was founded in 2005 by the Chinese Daoist priest Tian Chengyang, one of the earlier physical Daoist temples established in Europe. The temple's name derives from the Scripture of Constant Clarity and Stillness Spoken by the Most High Lord Lao, with clarity, stillness, freedom from desire, and internal-alchemical practice as the core of its teaching. Tian Chengyang came from the Daoist community in China and traveled to Spain to propagate the teaching, lecturing on Daoist doctrine and cultivation methods in Spanish; his writings and translations have had considerable influence on the spread of Daoism in the Spanish-speaking world — most contact with Daoism in Europe comes indirectly through sinology, taiji, and New Age currents of thought, and temples directly led by a Chinese Daoist priest are very few, Qingjing Gong being one of them. The temple takes part in joint activities of the European Daoist network and maintains contact with organizations such as the Chiesa Taoista d'Italia. No independently reliable public source gives the precise address, coordinates, or corporate registration details; these should be independently verified.
