Same as above · The system of Grotto-Heavens and Blessed Lands took shape in the Eastern Jin and Southern Dynasties; the Tang-dynasty Sima Chengzhen and Du Guangting fixed the list of names. Present-day locations are identifications made in later times.

Overview

59th of the Seventy-two Blessed Lands: 'in Yixing county, Chang prefecture, administered by the Perfected Kang Sang,' identified with the Zhanggong Cave in Yixing today, a limestone karst cave traditionally said to have been a place of cultivation for Zhang Daoling of the Han and Zhang Guo of the Tang; the cave preserves Daoist inscriptions from the Ming and Qing.
