Overview

The thirty-sixth of the Seventy-two Blessed Lands: “It lies in Xingan County, Jizhou, and is governed by the Perfected Guo.” Du Guangting’s Record of Grotto-Heavens, Blessed Lands, Marchmounts, Rivers and Famous Mountains ranks it instead as the thirty-third Blessed Land (the source of the name “the thirty-third Blessed Land under Heaven” used at Zhangshu today); it is the ancestral court of the Lingbao School. See the entry “Mount Gezao” for further detail.
