Overview
The Europe Taoist Federation was registered and established in 2019, led by Vincenzo di Ieso (Li Xuanzhong), founder of the Chiesa Taoista d'Italia, and is a transnational umbrella organization linking Daoist groups across Europe. Its members include associations and temples in Italy, the United Kingdom, France, Spain, Switzerland, Portugal, Belgium, Germany, Slovenia, Russia, Belarus, Austria, and Liechtenstein, forming a network based mainly on associations with a small number of physical temples as nodes. The federation's founding marked European Daoism's shift from scattered individual groups toward transnational coordination, and it has become the principal channel through which the European Daoist community connects with the Chinese Taoist Association and the World Taoism Federation. Li Xuanzhong also serves as president of the European Taoist Association and vice-president of the World Taoism Federation, making him the central figure in this network. No independently reliable public source gives the federation's registration details or organizational charter.
