Overview

The Celestial Worthy of Numinous Treasure is the second of the Three Pure Ones. Earlier titles include the Great Lord of the Dao of Jade Dawn and the Supreme Lord of the Dao. The Chart of the Ranks of the Perfected placed the Great Lord of Jade Dawn at the centre of the second divine rank; the title 'Celestial Worthy of Numinous Treasure' became standard after the Song. He is closely associated with the Lingbao scriptures, universal salvation and the Zhai and Jiao ritual tradition.

Iconography

In a Hall of the Three Pure Ones he normally stands to the left of the Celestial Worthy of Primordial Beginning and is often shown holding a ruyi sceptre.
